Day 9

This is one of the playpens in the babyroom. There are lots of new babies here today! Real cuties!

How do you guys like Madi's t-shirt today?
Already a Daddy's girl???

Today was Sabina's last day at the babyhouse! She gets to go with her mommy today!!!
That is why she is wearing her beautiful dress. Madi is happy for Sabina and her mommy!
So are we!

It was colder today in Astana. Not cold enough to snow, but close and so it was raining. No-one uses umbrellas here, they just walk around in the rain. They say that Fall has finally arrived. For us from Miami it feels more like the coldest Winter day than Fall. I am glad that we will not be here for the coldest months of January and February! The government does not turn on the heat until about the 2nd-3rd week in October. Interesting, huh? Although the babyhouse DOES have the heat on. There must be an exception made for babyhouses. They always make sure that the babies are warm. They must always have socks on and long sleeves. If you take them outside they must wear hats and a snowsuit. We saw babies in snowsuits when we arrived and it was about 60 degrees out! Babies cannot drink ANYTHING cold or it will make them sick. A lot of these customs sound very familiar...Sometimes I wonder:
are we in Kazakhstan or Cuba?

I can't tell who is happier, Madi or Daddy! I love the sparkle in her eyes!!! You have a beautiful family! It won't be too much longer before you are all together forever.

Who is afraid she may find out how cold it is in January (still hoping for sooner)!

And remember to cover her head when you go out at night... Cuidado con el Sereno!
